What the Findlay Barbell Patreon Is All About
If you’ve been around the gym lately, you’ve probably heard me mention the Patreon page. I wanted to take a minute to actually explain what it is and how it works, because it’s something I’ve been building out and I think a lot of you will find it useful.
The short version is this — the Findlay Barbell Patreon is where I put the programming. Real structured programs, built by a strength and conditioning coach who actually trains in the same gym you do.
The way it works is pretty straightforward. The programs are on the Patreon, and every exercise in those programs links directly to a video of that movement being performed right here at Findlay Barbell. No stock footage, no random gym somewhere else. You’re seeing the actual equipment you’re using, in the actual space you’re training in. That was intentional. I wanted it to feel like having a coach in the room with you, not just a PDF you downloaded off the internet.
This started as something I called Black Belt Strength, which was more broadly focused on programming and coaching. Over time it made more sense to bring it under the Findlay Barbell name and make it about the people who are actually here — members who want a program to follow, and people who are training on their own and want something put together by someone who knows what they’re doing.
There’s also an app in the works that will tie all of this together in one place. More on that when it’s ready.
For now, if you want to check it out, the Patreon is Findlay Barbell. You can find it at the bottom of this website under the Find More from Findlay Barbell section. Take a look and see if it’s something that makes sense for where you’re at with your training.
